Dominic Pursell

Born on February 17, 1970 in Merseyside, England, Dominic Purcell and his family, which consisted of his parents and his four younger siblings, relocated to Sydney, Australia when Purcell was only two years old. After some time, his father, who was an officer for the Norwegian Merchant Navy, left the family. As a student, Purcell failed to finish his secondary education. After dropping out, he started working as a landscaper. Having perceived artistic people as peculiar individuals, it was quite unexpected when Purcell decided to try out acting. He enrolled at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, and it was there that he became schoolmates with actors Hugh Jackman and Frances O'Connor.
