American Society of Publishers of magazines Magazine Publishers of America announced the finalists of the annual competition for the title of "best magazine covers of 2008" in several categories:
best celebrity cover, best concept cover, best fashion cover, best leisure interest, best news cover, best service cover, best coverline, and the best cover of the magazine as a whole (best cover of the year 2008)Among the finalists of the competition were such publications as The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, Vanity Fair, New York Magazine, GQ, Texas Monthly, Interview, Departures, Wired, Times Magazine and others
Winners will be announced on October 6 at a conference of editors of American magazines American Magazine Conference 2008 (AMC). In the meantime, the offer to see the cover of magazines that have got to the finals of this competition
