Free Things to do In Venice.

My Experience and List of activities I gathered to do FREE!!!

Venice itself is quite expensive, boat rides tickets are 16 Euro's person per day.

Food is expensive.

Hotel Accommodation is expensive. Souvenir's are expensive; any shopping could drill a hole in your pockets and purses.

Here are some things to do FREE while in Venice :

1.City of Venice itself - City never sleeps so you can walk around as much as you want anytime.

2.Beautiful Canals : Grand Canal ; Lagoons

3. Bridges - There are some 377 bridges in Venezia ; so walk around on the streets of Venice and Cross to the other side when ever and where ever there is a bridge.

4.Enjoy the amazing Architecture : Just colorful homes, hotels, Chruches by the canals, Grand Canal or by the streets.

5. If you are a snacker its better to take snacks with you from your home country and munch on them as you walk or just relax by the lake.

6.St.Marks Square ( Piazza San Marco) : Its Free to walk around in the square .

Pictures of San Marco's Basilica will be in the coming posts.

7. St Marks Basilica : Its free entry to San Marco's Basilica.

Dress Code : Modest Dress is needed . Meaning NO sleeveless tops for both Men & Women; No Hats /caps for men; No Shorts ,Knees cannot be visible for both Men & Women. I am not kidding access to the Basilica WILL BE DENIED .

There are street vendors who sell scarfs or cheaper alternative is wrap around paper . I witnessed people buying those to cover up their sleeves to enter the Basilica.

8. There is an awesome bridge; it doesn’t even look like one. Anyway there is a fish market, interesting place to see some weird fish.

9. There is Fruit and Vegetable market, it’s not routine so it’s an interesting walk. You can be in "awe" at some of the prices (don’t forget it’s in Euro’s)

10. Tons of Other streets where you can see fashion shops, jewelry shops, traditional Italian and venetian articles , restaurants , and much more .

I had tons of fun...hope you had a good trip of Venizia too :)
