Herbal Facials



Fast Herbal Facials!


Pep up your complexion while you relax and unwind with an at-home herbal steam facial. It's easy! Simply place a handful of fresh herbs in a large pot of water and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. For dry skin, try lavender, mint, or calendula. If you have sensitive skin, try calendula, chamomile, or comfrey. Oily complexion? Use mint, lavender, rose, or witch hazel.


While the water heats, pull your hair back with a headband and wash your face as usual. Remove the boiling water from the stove and place it on a hot pad or trivet on a table or countertop. Then make a tent over your head with a towel and lean over the steaming pot, trapping the steam inside the tent (be careful not to lean too close to the water — it's still hot!). Relax and breathe in deeply as the soothing vapors calm you as well as your skin. After about five minutes, rinse your face with cool water and finish with a toner and a moisturizer. Beautiful!
